At first, we all thought the follow-up to Relapse was going to be the "creatively" titled Relapse 2. That all changed when Eminem continued recording tracks for the follow-up and realized he was getting away from the sound heard on Relapse. Then, via Twitter, he announced his next project would be called Recovery and that it would (thank you, *insert deity*) not feature the annoying-as-hell accent that brought down most of the tracks on Relapse. So far, from the one single he's released from Recovery, it's definitely a change of pace and so is the artwork planned for the album. Both covers do away with the cartoon-ish look of the previous record for something a little more personal.
Recovery is due out June 22. You can view the two covers for the record below.

I dont like either of them.. they look boring.. and bland.. i’ve always liked eminems artwork.. but these just suck.. the first one looks too much like the 8mile soundtrack.. and the second one is crap.. i would take away the building and maybe surround the cube with drug dealers and g’s with guns.. all the kinda stuff he wants to keep outside…

I prefer the first one. Suits recovery more (the road to recovery). Also the first one leaves more up to the imagination. Like what's at the end of the road etc. Maybe they'll use both, one on the back or inside...

Well I have to disagree with both of you. I think that first one sucks ass, but the second one is a for sure album cover. I know in my expericence, recovering from bad times, I'd rather just sit in a room and gether ,my thougths and from the second cover, that explains it all. Just block off the ret of the world and take your own time out to get everything together and keep it cool. Just my opinion though.
