Easiest headline in the world, right? Em recently told New York Times Magazine that he's not against gay marriage, saying, "I think if two people love each other, then what the hell? I think that everyone should have the chance to be equally miserable." He also says he's calmed down a lot, that he's stopped taking drugs, and that his Slim Shady persona might be buried for a while.
This new, adult Eminem is kind of crazy: It's not so long ago that he was getting protested by GLAD and rapping about wanting to kill his ex-wife. (Actually, it was a decade ago. Let's feel old!) But rapping about banging Kim Kardashian, or whatever he did on Relapse, doesn't seem right when you're pushing 40 and a father of three kids, and it'll be interesting to see if he can keep his edge as a more mature, older rapper (listen to the first example of the new Em below on the solid "Not Afraid"). Let's hope he's got some fight in him. [MTV]
