Eminem Performs “Not Afraid” Live on French TV
Eminem has been taking new tracks all over Europe as part of a promotional tour for his forthcoming album, Recovery. Following a mid-May debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 (his third number one to date), “Not Afraid” follows in the vein of Relapse, further documenting his path to sobriety, but this time without the skits and alter-egos. During his European media blitz, Eminem stopped by Le Live du Grand Journal to perform his latest single. While it’s hard not to miss the good old days when Em still displayed a sense of humor about himself, one can’t help but react to his emphatically delivered performance to his fans as he raps: “It was my decision to get clean, I did it for me/Admittedly, I probably did it subliminally/for you, so I could come back a brand new me.” Recovery is released June 22.
