Eminem Named "King Of Hip-Hop" By Rolling Stone

Before hip-hop fans get all bent out of shape by Rolling Stone's claim that Eminem is the "king of hip-hop," let's set one thing straight. It's all based on the fact that he sold the most albums -- some 7.51 million -- during the time of 2009 through the first seven months of 2011. According to the mag, "We're not looking for the all-time greatest, although many of our contenders would vie for that crown." As such, Em isn't really the king of hip-hop, so to speak, but he is the king of hip-hop album sales over the aforementioned time period. Likewise, Drake is the king of Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop and Rap Songs Charts while Lil Wayne is the king of touring.
