Eminem, Jay-Z, Arcade Fire All Nominated For Grammy Awards
We’ve already peered into our crystal ball here at Prefix to try and predict the Grammy nominations for this year, and now you can find out how our tipster Ivan Mitchell fared. Eminem is leading the pack of nominees, with 10 potential chances to win awards, while Jay-Z and Lady Gaga are coming up behind him with six nominations each.
Another nominee of note is Arcade Fire, who have been included in the Album of the Year and Best Alternative Album categories for The Suburbs. They face competition from Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Eminem and Lady Antebellum in the former, and are on more familiar ground in the latter with Broken Bells, Vampire Weekend, Band of Horses and the Black Keys all vying with them.
Elsewhere, John Legend and the Roots have been nominated in an impressive five categories, and the Roots are up for Best Rap Album for How I Got Over (against B.o.B, Drake, Eminem, and Jay-Z) . Head over to the Grammys website to see the full list of 109 categories and their respective nominees,
