Eminem gets "really heated" over leaks from Relapse

Eminem has become his own one-man Web Sheriff by hitting out at leaks from his forthcoming album, Relapse. He told Billboard in an e-mail interview that he got “really heated” when he discovered that the song “Crack a Bottle” had leaked online, especially as the song hadn’t been completed.

“It wasn't close to finished, and it even has me doing guide vocals for Dre as a suggestion of how he could lay his verses down,” he said. “It's like someone catches you peeping in your window before you got the Spider Man costume all zipped up! Nobody is supposed to see that. We are gonna finish it up though and get it out there how it's supposed to be."

The interview finds the rapper talking excitedly about his collaboration with Dre on the record, saying: “I don't have chemistry like that with anyone else as far as producers go -- not even close.” He also puts a few other rumors to bed. “Stan 2” doesn’t exist (“Stan drove his car off a bridge and I'm not writing a song as Stan's ghost,” he says) and 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct will be released on Shady Records in February ’09. Hi Prefix (& Nick),

Thanks for your piece (and post) ... .. that particular element of the 'quote' actually appears to be a mis-quote insofar as approaching 90% of projects / albums we have worked on have actually earned highest-ever chart positions or highest-ever sales for the artists concerned.

Best to All for the W'end,
