Emily Haines announces tour dates/streams new song

    In anticipation of her forthcoming debut solo album, Knives Dont Have Your Back, Metric frontwoman Emily Haines has announced a handful of tour dates, and is streaming a track from the album on her website.

     

    Pitchfork is reporting that for the tour dates, Haines will be accompanied by a rotating group of musicians who will go by the name of the Soft Skeleton. Some Soft Skeletons of note include Evan Cranley of Stars and Broken Social Scene, Jimmy Shaw of Broken Social Scene and Metric, and Scott Minor of Sparklehorse.

    Metric is still alive and well of course, and to prove it, the band will also be playing a series of shows in the coming months:
