EMI to tap BBC archive for rare performances, documentaries

EMI recently inked a deal with the BBC that will give the record label access to

its TV and radio recordings that have been sitting in its vault. EMi will release such treasures via DVDs, CDs and download. BBC’s archive includes a 1967 live radio performance of Pink Floyd playing cuts from debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn and a 1975 David Bowie documentary, as well as early Coldplay recordings.
