Dance music aficionados, plan on spending your Labor Day weekend at a decidedly different kind of zoo -- one where you'll see lots of wild things in their natural habitat (feeding or petting at your own discretion). Following up on last year's inaugural and highly successful event, 2010's Electric Zoo Festival promises to bring even more electro-radness to the New York area.
Set for September 4-5, 2010, at Randall's Island Park, the festival welcomes more than 50+ DJs and electronic artists spanning genres across the dance music spectrum. Heavyweight highlights this year include The Chemical Brothers, Armin van Buuren, Major Lazer, Richie Hawtin, Paul van Dyk, Benny Benassi, Boys Noize, and Bassnectar; other notables on the bill: A-Trak, Aeroplane, Wolfgang Gartner, Steve Aoki (for the second year running), Diplo, Rusko, Flying Lotus, Erol Alkan, Above and Beyond, Fedde Le Grand, John Digweed, and Kaskade, with more line-up additions to be announced.
Two-day general admission passes are now available for $122. To purchase tickets or for more info, visit www.electriczoofestival.com.
