I mean, Eddie has always been an animated guy, but this is about more than his on-stage persona. We already told you that the Pearl Jam frontman handled soundtrack duties for Sean Penn's upcoming film Into the Wild. Now comes news that Vedder has also contributed two tracks for the Iraq War documentary Body of War, which chronicles the plight of a U.S. soldier Thomas Young, who was shot and paralyzed in just his first week on duty in Iraq. Vedder was driven to make new music for the movie after meeting Young. Vedder will travel north of the border to perform at the film's premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. The date on that? September 11. That can't be a coincidence.
Into the Wild will also be part of the film fest, but it's not known whether Vedder will have any involvement in that movie's screenings.
