The Hotlanta area will play host to the Echo Project Music and Arts Festival October 12 through 14. Tons of talented bands will convene on Bouckaert Farm in Fairburn, a site on the Chattahoochee River just south of the ATL. Slated to play the fest are the Flaming Lips (pictured), Man Man, MSTRKRFT, Son Volt, Thievery Corporation, the Polyphonic Spree, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, JJ Grey and Mofro, the Roots, RJD2, the Album Leaf, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Cat Power, the Killers, and others. As with many a big festival nowadays, the Echo Project's organizers are striving to make the event as eco-friendly as possible. They will hold a massive cleanup of the Chattahoochee before the fest, and portions of the event's proceeds will go to environmental charities. You can check out more bands playing the Echo Project after the jump, or head to the fest's website for a more exhaustive list and ticket details.
