Dwight Howard Credits "Gangnam Style" For Improving His Surgically Repaired Back

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know “Gangnam Style” has captured the hearts and minds of music listeners across the globe. The song’s catchy beat and dance moves have seen many spoofs and alternate videos, but none of them can compare to what Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard has used the song for.

For those Laker fans who were worried about Howard’s recovery from back surgery to repair a herniated disc, they can thank PSY, believe it or not, for his improved health.

Howard says he’s healthier than he’s ever been thanks to a special physical therapy program brought over from Korea. Via The Basketball Jones:

“Gangnam Style has helped me strengthen my core and lower back. I’ve got a great PT program, but this dance has taken me to the next level,” said Howard to The Basketball Jones (via The Daily Swarm). “The only way to go is Gangnam Style.”
