Think Vivian Girls are the only ones who can pump out some lo-fi, blissful fuzz-pop? Well, then you are seriously missing out on Dum Dum Girls. Over the brief course of a couple EPs and singles, the band has put out a bunch of churning, murky songs that have super-catchy melodies, and bracing guitar lines cutting their way through the haze.
That sound has apparently caught the eye of Sub Pop, who have now signed the band and expect to release their debut album sometime early in 2010. Until then, you can go to the band's MySpace page to hear standout tracks like "Catholicked" and the clanging acoustic of "Baby Don't Go."
