Duke to sue T.I., Tarheel fans have a year to figure out an appropriate taunt

Via: All Hip-Hop
In a move unlikely to help their image as a bunch of cry babies, Duke University is considering legal action against Southern rapper T.I., claiming he cut his Saturday concert short. Despite being paid $70K for a campus appearance, T.I. reportedly took his sweet ass time having dinner at P.F. Chang's, and walking off stage after 40 minutes once there.
I wish Syracuse had been able to use this precedent when I was in school. Our suit against Wyclef would have been for emotional distress. Not only would he not get off the stage, but he stopped every song with cries of "Remix! Remix!" What's the statute of limitations on being terrible?

Perhaps they got a tad screwed. But, to be fair, their mistake was asking TI to come in the first place.

wyclef should not be liable for anyone who asked him to perform after 2000. you brought that upon yourself and should know better.

At the risk of dating myself, this was in 1999. The legality is murky...

gm omnis will eat your respective faces if you keep talking about the prefix pool. gm omnis was clearly conspired against by the sports world so that he wouldnt win. end of story.

you watched a college basketball game before the tourney began, therefore putting you at a distinct disadvantage because you assumed that your knowledge would be useful. i had no such problems.

excellent point mk. my first place finish and your decent showing prove that it's better not to watch college hoops if you want to do well in the ncaa pools.

Just in case you missed it, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah opened this show. Fo real. They played a decent set, but it was in a gym, so acoustics blew.I was at this spectacle, and T.I.'s contempt for the audience was palpable. After waiting 1.5 hours after CYHSY finished, they dimmed the lights and a member of the entourage came on stage, put on a record (something from urban legend), and left the stage. For 10 minutes. Then a half-assed 30 min set from someone who obviously had either too much Ichiban or had forgot to swallow his General Tso. I don't care what your bracket looks like, that's balls.First Common disses us on stage, now this.
