Drummer Billy Hayes Leaves Wavves
For a while there, it looked like everything was sunshine in the Wavves camp, and that Nathan Williams had actually managed to lock down a steady lineup in the form of Jay Reatard's old rhythm section, bassist Stephen Pope and drummer Billy Hayes. Well, the honeymoon ended today with the announcement that Hayes has apparently parted ways with the fuzzy punkers.
No reason has been given for the split, but Signals/former Mae Shi dummer Jacob Cooper has been tapped as Wavves new touring drummer, a role he has been filling since their October tour with Phoenix.
