Drug Dealer Suing Rick Ross For Stealing His Name
"Freeway" Ricky Ross was locked up in the mid-90s after being found guilty of drug trafficking, allegedly making $2-3 million a week throughout the '80s and '90s and presiding over a drug empire that stretched from L.A. to Ohio. He's also the guy currently suing prison guard/rapper Rick Ross, real name William Roberts, for stealing his name.
This is a pretty nutty story all together, you can watch the video above, but here's how it goes: Ricky Ross was supposed to be in prison for life, but his sentence was reduced and he got out in 2009. Rick Ross, the rapper, took Ross' name and started performing in the mid-00s with his name. Ricky, who as mentioned above, made millions of dollars back in the day, says he's going after Rick not for the money, but for name infringement, which actually makes sense. Rick has tried presenting himself as a drug kingpin, and Ricky actually was. Basically, watch this, and you'll totally end up in the corner of a drug dealer against a rapper.
