(Via: SOHH.com)Dr. Dre is saying that his highly anticipated album Detox will definitely be released this year. He gave himself a little out by saying he's not sure what month it'll drop -- is Dec. 31 a Tuesday? -- but he's saying 2007 for sure.
On the encouraging side, we're not talking about Chinese Democracy and a flaky Axl Rose here. Dre hasn't been saying this year in and year out; everyone's just been speculating and/or hoping.
But it's safe to say that in the eight years since 2001 was released (yes, I know math), the expectations have gotten quite high for the Doctor. He doesn't seem too worried, however: "Trust me, this will be worth the wait," he said. "I'm trying to make this the one they remember me for. It's a lot of pressure but I'm feeling good about it. I feel like I'm my worst critic and if I'm loving it, everyone else will."
I don't think it's possible for Dre to live up to expectations for this album. 8 years!!!!
