Rap-Up is reporting that Drake's debut album, Thank Me Later, has what appears to be a concrete release date in May 25. It's difficult to get too excited about this because this recorded has been pushed back several times at this point. But, looking back, those delays did make sense. He dropped the So Far Gone EP last fall to capitalize on the "Best I Ever Had" hype.
And now Thank Me Later has been pushed to allow singles "Over" and "Shut It Down," which features The-Dream, time to breathe. Drake, who is a self-professed perfectionist, is also taking his time to create a "timeless album" with his debut. While that extra time might seem foolish to some considering how fickle the music industry is, Drake has been every-friggin'-where for the past year and a half without an actual album to his name. It's safe to say a few extra months won't hurt.
