At a press conference last week, Dr. Dre took a break from his ten years of working on Detox to announce the release of HP Envy 15 Beats, Dre's very own HP computer that was created with hip-hop producers in mind The computer, which will retail for the recession-oblivious price of $2,299, will come bundled with Dr. Dre's Beats headphones and state-of-the-art mixing software. Dre, and label boss Jimmy Iovine, announced at the conference that Kanye West, will.i.am, Pharrell and Timbaland all helped out with the finie-tuning of the engineering of the project, which is probably less crazy than it sounds. The computer is due out on Oct. 22. [Billboard]
