Dr. Dre aiming for Detox release in November, December

Dr. Dre spoke with USA Today about the mythical Detox album. Nas, Lil Wayne and the rest of the superstars of hip-hop are expected, but the big news is that the album could be out in November or December of this year.

“I’m just now — over the last couple of months — starting to feel that it’s going to be right and it’s something I can be proud of, and everybody is going to love it,” says Dr. Dre (aka Andre Young). “In a perfect world, I’m shooting for a November or December release.”

....

"I just make the music feel the way I want it to feel and I don't put it out until I'm totally happy with it. Then it does what it does."

...

"We have an entirely new thing going with the drums that's incredible, and we're still developing that."

I get the feeling that the longer he waits, the less likely he's going to be happy with it. Seems like he's seeking perfection at this point.

Part of me wants to think that this will just never come out but then something like the bit about the drums makes me want to hear this album more than anything else.
