Dr. Dre Claims "Under Pressure" Will Be Released in Two Weeks
Dr. Dre made an unusual step back into the spotlight this past Sunday (April 4) by appearing at Fenway Park in an attempt to sell his over-priced headphones. The release of a single from the long-awaited Detox album was hinted at during that TV spot, and now it appears that “Under Pressure” might (strong emphasis on the word “might” there) appear in the not-too distant future.
"Hopefully, we'll be releasing [“Under Pressure”] in the next two weeks or so," Dre told CNBC. "I'm definitely gonna be putting the album out this year, finally. I think everyone is gonna be happy with it." Considering that Detox was originally due for release in 2004, it’s probably wise not to set hopes too high for this release, although his record label must surely run out of patience with the project soon?
