New York neo-primitives Yeasayer are putting out a new record early next year, but you can hear the first single from the album, "Ambling Alp" over at Pitchfork, or by downloading it at Yeasayer's website. "Ambling Alp" is a cleaner-sounding single than anything off Yeasayer's All Hour Cymbals, but it's got a nice sense of motion and synth blasts that sound like a Nintendo soundtrack buoyed by Chris Keating floating vocals.

It's a good spreading of the Yeasayer sound, which should bode well for Odd Blood, which is due out on Feb. 9, 2010, via Secretely Canadian.
