Hype Williams' Dean Blunt has, seemingly out of nowhere, dropped a 30-minute, single-track mixtape featuring a slew of solo material. Apparently this blend of noise, lo-fi pop, and ambient psychedelia serves as a precursor of sorts for his upcoming fourth album with Inga Copeland called Black Is Beautiful.
Whatever the case, the music on here is pretty rad, though I know I'm not the only one who would love a tracked, proper release of this material. Stream the mixtape below and download it here. Black Is Beautiful is due out in April, when they'll also play the Unsound Festival in New York. Additionally, they're making their Los Angeles debut on April 24 at the Echoplex.
