Yesterday was an historic day, as Animal Collective's Merriweather Post Pavilion was finally released (got you there for a second didn't I?). The band celebrated the release by playing a homecoming show at NYC's Grand Ballroom, and announcing a lengthy U.S. tour in May and June. Don't feel bad if you couldn't make it to the show in NYC, or can't catch the band live on tour, NYC Taper has the full set up for free download (in MP3 or FLAC formats), right here. The audio quality is stellar, and so is the band's performance, since they did a bunch of songs from Merriweather, and the best track from their last LP, Strawberry Jam--"Fireworks." [via LHB]

Agreed. I'm thrilled that it's exploding like this - if anybody deserves it, AC does - but in the mean time I can't download the show anywhere? Anybody got it located elsewhere?? |
Thanks for the link. Actually last night was the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom and tonight is Bowery Ballroom.
