Doves are currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2005's critically aclaimed, and just plain excellent, Some Cities, according to their website. "So we've been hauled up 4 some time in the studio. We've done 8 tracks. We will be recording another 8 tracks so we still have some way to go." they say on their blog.They've been recording in a little farmhouse barn/recording studio in Cheshire (between Manchester and Liverpool, two cities where a lot of good music has come from), and have worked with producer John Leckie on several songs before moving on to Dan Austin, who has worked with Massive Attack and Cherry Ghost. No details on when the album will see a release next year, Doves say.
