Doug Morris is a tool, continued

via Digital Music News
That headline undoubtedly broke some rule of content communication, but sometimes a photo just leads naturally to a certain caption. If you don't remember Doug, he's the chairman of Universal Music who said iPods were just "repositories for stolen music" and strong-armed Microsoft (Microsoft!) into paying a per-unit fee for every Zune sold, all five of them.
In a recent Reuters Media Summit chat session, Doug says he wouldn't mind a similar deal with Apple, stating, "I don'''t see why we wouldn'''t do that... but maybe not in the same way." He's probably hedging because Steve Jobs has successfully fended off pressure to change iTunes' pricing and strengthens his position with every little Shuffle sold, but that's just a guess.
Don't feel bad for Doug this Christmas, though: He has a suit against MySpace that should settle and help pay for the tree.
