Doug Morris is an absolute moron: redux

So, remember late last week, when we tore Universal's Chief Executive Doug Morris a new one over his ridiculous threats directed towards MySpace and YouTube? Well, what a difference a week makes. I bet he's feeling awfully stupid now that it's been confirmed that Universal is in negotiations for the same type of deal that YouTube just struck with Warner.
The Coolfer article suggests that this was all just a negotiating tactic on Morris' part. I'm not buying that. It seems obvious that the real reason for this about-face is pressure from inside, because the company couldn't stand the scathing criticism we were launching at them. That's right, I'm declaring victory in the name of Prefix. YouTube, you owe us one.
Oh, Doug? Yeah, still a moron.

His comments are also funny, considering a great part of the marketing behind Beck's new album is uploading the videos from each song to YouTube...and Beck is on Geffen, distributed by Universal.
