DOOM may have left fans pretty pissed recently by sending one of his imposters (or "DOOMposters" as they're not-so-affectionately known) to a recent gig in London, but the bitter taste won't last long. In a recent interview with HipHopDX, the masked producer/MC announced the news that most of his, and Madlib's, followers have been impatiently waiting for: A new Madvillain project is in motion. What's more, the record is nearly finished.
These n****s got some shit. J Rocc and Madlib? You know, these n****s got some shit that’s ill as hell that n****s never heard, that’s as ill as any of these old breaks but they just haven’t come to surface yet. Watch when you hear the new Madvillain record. It’s almost done.
You can read the full interview with DOOM here, where he also speaks on Nas "ripping" an unheard Special Herbs beat (although they didn't record it, unfortunately), working with Damon Albarn and Beth Gibbons on JJ DOOM's new album, Key To The Kuffs, and being inspired by Madlib and J Dilla.
