This will certainly go down as the oddest news story we'll post today. Quirky '60s folk singer Donovan has announced that he's working with the similarly quirky film director/Los Angeles weather expert David Lynch to open a university that will focus on teaching transcendental meditation. Ready to find out what they plan on calling it? The Invincible Donovan University. How cool would it be to have a degree from there framed and up on your wall? Like many a '60s musician, Donovan was introduced to transcendental meditation when he paid a visit to Maharisi Mohesh Yogi in India. Lynch is also no newcomer to TM; his David Lynch Foundation has helped introduce the practice to U.S. schools in an attempt to curb violence. The two hope to locate the university in Scotland, where Donovan is originally from.
Call all this fruity sounding, sure, but anything these two do can't take away from the respective greatness of "Season of the Witch" and Mullholland Dr.
