So here's some weird news from the Odd Future camp that has nothing to do with what you might expect. Crooner, songwriter Frank Ocean took to his Tumblr account yesterday to reveal that he has been approached by Don Henley's legal team over the use of the Eagles' "Hotel California" on Nostalgia, Ultra track "American Wedding."
The thing is, though, it's not that they're mad about how it appeared on the mixtape, because, you know, it was a free release. But they're allegedly not happy, or "intimidated" in Ocean's words, by the Odd Future singer's live performances of the track. Peep his Tumblr post below via FACT:
“Don Henley is apparently intimidated by my rendition of Hotel California. He threatened to sue if I perform it again. I think that’s fuckin awesome.”
And in case you think this is all just hearsay, try finding "American Wedding" on YouTube.
