After an ambiguous fifth season finale which suggested the recently reformed Don Draper (Jon Hamm) was back to his playboy ways, it appears his marriage to Megan (Jessica Paré) might still be intact come season six of Mad Men.
Michael Ausiello of TVLine spoke to show creator Matthew Weiner about last season's worrisome ending. Season five saw Don struggling with Megan's career ambitions, as she chose acting over advertising. The finale's final scene hinted that Don might be back to philandering, which contributed to his split with Betty. Weiner explains of the new Drapers' relationship, "He loves her, and he gave her what she wanted. I don't know that the marriage is over."
It isn't exactly a definite answer, so fans will have to tune in and find out if Don has a new Mrs. Draper when the show starts up again. If so, she probably won't sing "Zou Bisou Bisou" to him.
Season five was Mad Men's most-watched season, with an average of 2.6 million weekly viewers. That's a 15 percent increase over season four.
Fans can also rest easy that Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) will be returning to the show, despite her departure from Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce last season.
