Don Cheadle Talks Miles Davis Film Details

The details surrounding Don Cheadle’s long talked-about movie on Miles Davis are still loose, but the actor recently revealed some interesting bits of information. First off, the project is not going to be a traditional biopic. It’s going to be a “gangster” film with a “cubist” bent. In an interview with the Wall St. Journal, Cheadle said that most of the movie will take place in 1979, at a time when Davis “wasn’t actually playing music.” Hmm, I’m in! If these details aren’t doing it for you, the Hotel Rwanda actor also said that it’s going to be a movie that “Miles Davis would have wanted to star in.” [NME]
