Via: NMEAs we told you late last year, Cranberries vocalist Dolores O'Riordan has been working on a solo album since it doesn't look like her band's indefinite hiatus isn't about to end anytime soon. Are You Listening? is set for release May 15 and will be the first recorded work O'Riordan has released since the Cranberries' 2001 album Wak Up And Smell The Coffee.
Here's what she had to say regarding the album:
"My time after The Cranberries was a clean slate - no pressure and no contracts. It was the first time in my life I was a free agent. I had no inhibitions, which is how I felt when I first started out. That's all visible here.
"The album was an awakening for me in my life - a journey that I completed. It's like I crossed a bridge which is a great new plateau to be on. My life is different to how it was 10 years ago and there's a great sense of acceptance. It's a very exciting time to be releasing music again too."
Tracks set to appear on the album include "Apple Of My Eye," "Black Widow," "In The Garden," "Watch The Stars," "Loser" and first single "Ordinary Day," which you can hear now on O'Riordan's MySpace page.
