As if working as a paparazzi photographer wasn’t low enough, Britney Spears’ ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib is now claiming he has a sex tape for sale. Ghalib told British gossip magazine Heat: “There is such a tape. But I won’t discuss prices for hypothetical inquiries. Unless there is a locked-in deal, I will go no further. I am not interested in selling out any other details about Britney.”

But according to sources close to Spears, the two-hour tape, which is alleged to have been shot by Ghalib in Mexico, doesn’t exist. The mysterious “source” told E! News: "The story is completely false.” The tape is likely to have been shot during the well-documented period when Spear went off the rails, so it’s anyone’s guess as to whether it really exists or not.

One thing’s for sure: the weasly Ghalib is likely to milk his brief moment in the spotlight for all it’s worth, so we might not have heard the last of him yet. Although with a new Spears album, Circus, due on December 2, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that this could be a publicity stunt to keep her name in the headlines.
