To celebrate its fiftieth anniversary, venerable shoe purveyor Dr. Martens has enlisted ten recording artists to cover songs that "represent the spirit of people who've worn DMs over the past 50 years." Particularly intriguing to this boot-wearer are the Noisettes covering the Buzzcocks' "Ever Fall In Love With Someone You Shouldn't've" and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club taking on the Pogues "Dirty Old Town." Head over here to check out all ten songs- though they've not all been released yet- as long-form commercials. Be aware, though, that freelancing over to the website could cost some valuable navigation time. Though the pattern eventually becomes apparent, it's only after users have been thoroughly creeped by the Clockwork Orange / "Paradise City" stacked television motif. [The Daily Swarm]
