Just because Jimmy Tamborello, a.k.a Dntel, a.k.a the non-Ben Gibbard half of Postal Service, has started talking about that duo's sophomore set (even hinting of hoping to get Ghostface to guest on the album) doesn't mean you should overlook Dntel's upcoming Sub Pop release, Dumb Luck. That would be like the Colts' embarrassing loss to the Texans on their road to the Super Bowl. So stay in the here and now by giving a listen to Dumb Luck's title track, which Sub Pop put up today. It's warm and fuzzy and beautiful all over, towards the end sounding very reminiscent of another blippy-buzzy title track, Spiritualized's "Ladies and Gentelmen We are Floating in Space." Even though Dumb Luck (cover at left) is full of guest appearances by the likes of Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, and Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Tamborello himself actually handles vocals here on his own, and does an admirable job.Listen to Dntel's new title track
