Dntel, Shlohmo, Daedelus Create a 'Pop Massacre,' Remix Lady GaGa, Soulja Boy, Prince

Consider this a holidays gift from the artists associated with the Friends of Friends Music collective, which includes Dntel, Shlohmo, Daedelus, My Dry Wet Mess, and many others. These left field-leaning producers have decided to come together and present the appropriately titled Pop Massacre, a compilation of 13 remixes of pop tracks from the past 60 years or so. That means we get to hear Dntel destroy Lady GaGa's "Paparazzi" and Mexicans With Guns turn Richie Valens' "La Bamba" into some sort of hauntingly trippy mindfuck. The results are pretty slick across the board, especially on the aforementioned remixes along with Shlohmo's take on "Pretty Boy Swag" by Soulja Boy. If this doesn't brush off your Monday fatigue, nothing will.
