It was reported on Friday that troubled rapper DMX, who is currently behind bars in Arizona serving a 90-day jail sentence, has signed on to appear in the third season of Dr. Drew is trying to help celebrities overcome their addictions, not get famous or move copies of his book or stroke his own ego, we promise Celebrity Rehab. It would be the latest in a long line of questionable moves for DMX, since he'd be throwing his lot in with former celebrities like that douche from Crazy Town, Shifty Shellshock. 

DMX's people are denying DMX is going to appear on the show, but their release reads more like they don't want it to seem like X is planning things from behind bars. Considering no one has sprung back into fame via Celebrity Rehab the move would not make much sense, but an appearance on Dancing With the Stars would (since marginal celebrities are given additional marginal celebrity after appearing on that show). I'd maybe watch DMX work on his Cha Cha skills. [via Perez Hilton]
