DâM-FunK Releases "I Don't Wanna Be A Star" Single, Covers Prince, Designs Drum Machine

DâM-FunK has just released a new track called, "I Don't Wanna Be a Star" from a new 12" maxi single on Stones Throw. The b-side to the single will be a cover of the Prince track "17 Days", and the release will also feature two instrumental tracks. Stones Throw says a video for "I Don't Wanna Be A Star" is in the works, and we should expect it in early September. 

DâM-FunK has also collaborated with the DIY micro-synth designers over at Bleep Labs to create a new mini drum machine called the Dam Drum. The drum sounds on the machine are all handpicked by DâM-FunK himself, and as you can see in the demo below, you can even make your own patterns.
