DJ/rupture Name-checked on <i>90210</i>
I don't have TV service, so can someone explain this to me? 90210 is back on? And it's on CW? And it stars Michael from The Wire? And Michael from The Wire (aka Tristan Wilds) namechecked DJ/Rupture on the show this week?
Apparently all of that is true; TripWire has a stream of the episode right over here. I guess I'm more surprised that a show set in California actually has a black person in the cast. Because if you learn one thing from watching Melrose Place, the original 90210, The O.C., The Hills or Laguna Beach, it's that California is exclusively populated by rich white people with "problems" that involve who's going to bang who after the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus show at the Viper Room. No. I did it for you H0gy. I thought to myself will one other person get the picture reference? And I figured, yeah, H0gy will. I also think the facial expression works as a "isn't it goofy they namechecked Dj/rupture" type deal too.
I love everything about the new 90210 but I would make a few changes. First, change the name to, The Wire. It should not be on the CW. Maybe HBO or something. Not set in California, I'll suggest Baltimore. Maybe have characters named Avon Barksdale and The Greek instead of Trey, Summer, Drake, Kayla, Brody, or Spencer. Tell me if this is a stupid idea.
