Dizzee Rascal Working With Benji Madden Of Good Charlotte

Here’s kind of an odd collaboration: English rapper Dizzee Rascal and guitarist Benji Madden of Good Charlotte are apparently recording together. The new material will be featured on the rapper’s follow-up to 2009’s  Tongue ‘N Cheek. Yesterday (Dec. 15), Madden Tweeted, “Man just left @DizzeeRascal studio and he has some fire ready to go strictly for his fans. So cold man, you’re all going to love it.” Dizzee recently signed with Universal and has been in search of a more rock-centric sound—he has expressed a desire to work with Dave Grohl (what about Marilyn Manson?) and has worked with Arctic Monkeys in the past on the band’s 2007 song, “Temptation Greets You Like a Naughty Friend.” No word yet on when the Rascal-Madden material will see the light of day, but the rapper’s new album is expected in 2012.
