Tim Burton described Marilyn Manson‘s relationship with burlesque artist Dita Von Teese as “like a living Brothers Grimm fairytale.” The couple split in 2006, but a new interview with Von Teese has shed light on her difficult post-Manson period. "After the divorce I was going through complete heartbreak,” she says. “It changes you, I spent the first year not having sex at all, which was strange as I still continued to convey sex in my work.”

Manson had allegedly begun his dalliance with actress Evan Rachel Wood while still married to Von Teese, and she cited “irreconcilable differences” for the reason behind their break up. But Von Teese’s year of chastity seems firmly behind her now, and there’s good news for any Vampire Weekend fans who have aped their favorite band’s preppy clothing style.

“I’m attracted to normal, sweet-looking guys in sweaters,” she says. “I'm finished with the leather trousers and eyeliner types. You can have a roller-coaster ride with a guy in a sweater."
