Via Stereogum:I always think of Dismemberment Plan as one of the first bands I felt too old to "get." My senior year of college, I was apprenticing this cute little freshman girl to be a DJ at our school's radio station, and she was absolutely bonkers about "Dis Plan," as she affectionately called them. She would always play "The Ice of Boston" during the hour she got to take over my show. I just couldn't hear what was so great about that, or any, of Dis Plan's songs.
So you young kiddos out there should be happy to hear that the band is going to reunite for, as of now, one night in Washington, D.C. The show is part of ongoing fund-raising efforts for the son of J. Robbins and Janet Morgan of Jawbox, who was recently diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The concert will take place April 28th at the Black Cat. Tickets can be purchased here.

I know some crazy fans of this band who would kill to see this show.
