Via: Drowned in SoundJeff Nelson and Ian MacKaye--founders of seminal hardcore label, Dischord Records--are giving back to the local scene in a big way. The pair, together with a handful of other local organizations, are offering free studio time to young Washington-area bands at Inner Ear Studios through a project dubbed the CD Free Recording Project.
Bands must meet a few basic criteria in order to be considered for these free five-hour recording sessions, including half the band or more being eighteen or under, and hailing from the Washington, DC area. For more information, click here.
