Dirty Projectors Unveil Two New Songs, "Offspring Are Blank" And "The Socialites"

With just a couple of weeks to go before they release one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Dirty Projectors have unveiled a pair of brand new tracks. The Brooklyn indie rockers, with help from Jenn Wasner of Wye Oak, took to Seattle’s KEXP’s The Morning Show yesterday for a pretty exciting recording session.

Dirty Projectors performed four tracks, all from the band’s forthcoming sixth record, Swing Lo Magellan, which is due out July 10 in the U.S. (a day earlier overseas) via Domino. The band did the previously revealed “Dance For You” and “Gun Has No Trigger” alongside two new ones entitled “Offspring Are Blank” and “The Socialites.”

Listen to the two new tracks over at Fake Walls or check out the whole set at the KEXP archive by clicking “Thursday, June 21” and “9:00AM Variety Mix.”
