Dirty Projectors Okay, But Shaken, Following Bus Crash in Michigan

Dirty Projectors were in a serious van accident yesterday in Michigan after a car hit them when they were exiting a fruit stand, causing their van to roll over. The band were discharged from the hospital without serious injuries, but were forced to cancel today's show in Toronto at Lee's Place and tomorrow's at Montreal's Theatre Plaza. The band has a full tour of Europe and a handful more dates in support of Bitte Orca in North America starting in July, but there's no word on if those dates will continue as planned.

Here's the band's official statement:

Dirty Projectors' van flipped outside of Detroit, MI on their way up to
Toronto. Although the crash was serious, we're happy to report that all
members of the band have been safely discharged from the hospital. The band
will be flying home to New York in the morning to regroup and rest.
Unfortunately, the band will have to cancel Toronto and Montreal.

Thank you for understanding and sending your well wishes.

It's really screwed up to think about, but if that crash had been worse, I would've been one of the last people to ever see Dirty Projectors, and their last show would've been at an enormous park where more than half of the audience was too busy drinking wine and "chilling" to pay attention. That would've sucked.
