Dinosaur Jr. reunion album details announced
Seems that unlike with the Pixies, Dinosaur Jr.'s triumphant reunion tour will actually be followed up by an album of new material. On May 1, Fat Possum will release Beyond, Dino's first album with original members J. Mascis, Lou Barlow, and Murph in over a decade. The band crafted the eleven new songs for the album in Mascis's home studio in Amherst, Massachusetts. A live DVD is scheduled to follow later in May.

Here’s the first track to be made available, “Been There All the Time.” The song, like the rest of the album, shows that Mascis, Barlow and Murph haven’t missed a step despite not having recorded together as a trio since 1988’s Bug. Mascis might be grayer than my grandma at this point, but the man can still shred. We can only hope he and Barlow don’t try to kill each other while promoting the album. [...]
