Diddy TV: Auto-Tune

In the latest entry to his online video diary, Diddy has revealed that he’s joined Kanye West, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne on the exclusive list of people who T-Pain has granted permission to use Auto-Tune on his vocals by T-Pain. It’s odd that T-Pain would be the arbiter of Auto-Tune usage since he neither invented nor originally popularized the effect, but the co-sign was important enough to Diddy that he’s granted T-Pain a a cut of the album’s profits in exchange for some sort of top-secret Auto-Tune techniques. There’s no real information to be found here, thought it does continue to illustrate the point that T-Pain is an immensely entertaining individual as long as he isn’t singing.
