Diddy Speaks At 92YTribeca

See? Even Diddy wears shorts during the heatwave. The ever-fashionable "record mogul" joined Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg for the latter's Noisemakers series at 92YTribeca this past Tuesday. For over a year and a half the interview series has set the gregarious host in the bourgeois setting of the 92Y's theater for a more subdued, Rose-esque conversation with various hip-hop personalities. Past guests have included Q-Tip, Raekwon, Bun B and DJ Premier, amongst others.

Highlights included Diddy praising Sha Rock (the "+1 More" from the Funky 4), remembering the "light-skinned revolution," being a doorman and making $1K/week and running with Uptown Records.

Nah Right also has a Diddy x Noisemakers @ 92Y Tribeca">clip of Rosenberg's intro of Diddy, but it cuts short before the conversation starts. And, in case you thought we forgot with whom we're dealing, New York Magazine has got'cha covered with the Diddy Said at His Noisemakers Interview Last Night">notable quotables. My favorite? "Doormen back then had to wear these crazy hats ... it felt like two weeks after slavery or something."
