Destroyer to Reissue City of Daughters and Thief

Dan Bejar is doing a little rewriting of his past, with the help of Matador Records. Although he's got a record coming out later this year under his Destroyer moniker on Merge, Matador has been kind enough to whet our collective appetite for it by reissuing the second and third Destroyer LPs, City of Daughters and Thief . The original vinyl releases of these records were never exactly up to par-- City of Daughters had some skipping problems, and Thief was, for reasons lost to the sands of time, mastered in mono. These problems have been addressed on the upcoming rereleases. Thief has been remixed (in stereo this time) and both albums have been remastered. And as an added bonus, the artwork for both albums has been reworked by the original artist. Now all you have to do is decide what to do with those old original copies. [TinyMixTapes]
